RoadCup 2018

This year, a prestigious, amateur series of Czech races, was set up under the name, RoadCup 2018. It consisted of two series, RoadMarathon and RoadRace. The RoadMarathon includes certain well known races such as the Mamut Tour, Beskyd Tour, Tatry Tour, Krakonoš‘s cyklomaraton and Krušnoton, naturally their longest tracks.
During these races, one can see beautiful places in the Czech mountains and get the chance to ride up some of the now legendary rises, namely Grapy, at the Mamut Tour, Smrček, at the Beskyd, Pražská Bouda, at the Krakonoš’s cyclomarathon or up to the ridge of the Krušné mountains (Czech Rep.) in the Krušnoton race, all at the high pace of a great competition.
My participation in four of these races brought me, overall, 4th place. For next year, I want to improve my long-distance skills, so I am able to race and fight for the winners’ podium, which I was really close to this year, even after 200 kilometres.
