Kateřina Nekolná: I like nice and high-quality things

We are very pleased that Kateřina Nekolná, a former heptathlete, an excellent sportswoman and television sports announcer, took time to talk with us. She has finished the greatest success at the World Summer Universiade 1999: the second place with 5 900 points.
How would you present yourself to our readers?
My name is Kateřina Nekolná, and you can see me on Czech Television. I am an announcer and sports news editor of the Sports CT. In the past years, I was a Czech representative in the multi-event competition. At the moment I'm trying to handle many more disciplines at once, namely in the care of my two sons.
What sport do you actively dedicate? And what the greatest success have you achieved?
I am a former Czech Republic national team member in the heptathlon. My great successes: silver medal at the World Universiade, 12th place at the European Championship and 16th place at the World Championships. I am also a quadruple Czech champion in multi-event competition. After finishing my representational athletic career I began to devote almost all sports, so if my time permits: skiing, cycling, in-line skating, tennis, and if there are possibility and opportunity, also extreme sports.
What interesting races did you attend last year? And what are you looking forward to this year?
Last winter, I attended the Jizerská 50 race and Czech Championship in giant slalom journalists. This year I have already participated in the Schlag das Ass in the Austrian Alps, the longest ski race in the world (25 km). And of course, I raced for Kilpi team. Our team was doing well (we finished at 26th place out of all the teams - the first of the Czech teams), but we also had boldest, and I think, the nicest clothes. Team jackets and pants are really done this year. Not only the color combination but also their quality. And I was warm! :-)))
What clothes do you the most wear this year and do you want to recommend it to customers?
As for this collection, I like the Lena-W jacket in white. It is wonderfully worn both in the city and on the ski slopes. The jacket does finery in the city, and of course, on the slopes, and moreover, it warms up perfectly. Two sweatshirts (white, black) are in the same design. This jacket can be worn with a variety of ski pants. White, black, pink ... according to your taste and mood.
Have you tried the Kilpi clothes in some extreme conditions?
It is very cold this winter, so I must also commend Kilpi manufacturer as regards wearing its clothes in extreme conditions. The Lena-W jacket I wore at -18 ° C. In combination with thermal underwear and Kilpi fleece sweatshirt I was warm. That the jacket is water resistant even during a snowstorm or rolling in the snow with the children, I do not need even mention.
When or where did Kilpi clothes pleasantly surprise or help you?
The distinctive design of Kilpi jackets helped my four-year son to find me in snowstorm and fog. He said: "Mom, I have known you only by your jacket. You do it so well that you have! I would have probably never found. "I was indeed in a similar situation. I have known my children on a hillside only by bright colors of Kilpi jackets.
What are you the most appreciative of Kilpi compared to competing brands?
I appreciate especially the functionality of its clothing, modern design and beautiful bright colors. I personally like skiing down jackets that are on sale this year. And women who have the same problem like me will also appreciate it, namely, ever-present cold when others are warm.
Do you have any special experience or a joyful story of the last time?
I am expecting a lot of funny stories this weekend. Kilpi jacket is so becoming, nice and strong. Only due to it (because I was muffled up in cap and scarf) at wheel defect in the mountains, many drivers stopped with an offer of help.
