My story
My dad got me into running. I used to run as a kid and then went back to running in my 30s. I'm a native Polabian, so maybe that's why I prefer a flat, firm surface underfoot. And yet, for me, my most valuable results have been run off-road.
I feel most comfortable in the road ultra community whether as a runner or supporter. Statistically, though, I run marathons most often. The beautiful thing about running is that everyone can find their own discipline that brings them joy for which they are also capable of sacrificing something. But the races that make me the happiest are the races where my daughter can compete!
My goals are simple. To be healthy. To have the support of my family. To compare myself to oneself and to try to break some personal bests. My personal little goal of circumnavigating the globe within ten years is still in play too. And the Spartathlon?
That's a dream come true and I believe one day I'll get a chance at a repeat!
